Transformation of Sentences

Assertive to Interrogative

অর্থের পরিবর্তন না করে Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার সময় নিচের নিয়ম গুলো মনে রাখতে হবে।

Assertive To Interrogative

Rule 1:  

Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার সময় Sentence টি Affirmative হলে Negative করতে হবে।
Asser: He is absent from the class.
Int: Isn't he absent from the class?

Rule 2:  
Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার সময় Sentence টি Negative হলে Affirmative করতে হবে।
Asser: He is not a good student.
Int: Isn't he a good student?

Rule 3:  
Assertive Sentence এ never থাকলে Interrogative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার সময় ever হয় এবং nothing থাকলে anything হয়।
Asser: I never drink tea.
Int: Do I ever drink tea?
Asser: There was nothing to do.
Int: Was there anything to do?

Rule 4:  
Everybody/everyone/all যুক্ত Assertive Sentence কে Interrogative Sentence এ রূপান্তর করার সময় এদের পরিবর্তে প্রথমে who বসে+don't/doesn't/ditn't বসে+ মূল verb এর present form+ বাকি অংশ+প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন।
Asser: Everybody wishes to be happy.
Int: Who doesn't wish to be happy?

Rule 5:  
Every+noun যুক্ত assertive sentence কে Interrogative করার নিয়ম:
Is there any+every এর পরে ব্যবহৃত noun টি+who doesn't+মূল verb এর base form+মূল verb এর পরের অংশ+ প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন। তবে এ ধরণের sentence এ must থাকলে does not না বসে will not বসবে।
Asser: Every man hates a lier.
Int: Is there any man who doesn't hate a lier ?
Asser: Every man must die.
Int: Is there any man who will not die ?

Rule 6: 
Nobody/None/No one যুক্ত sentence কে Interrogative করার সময় এদের পরিবর্তে Who বসে+বাকি অংশ বসে+প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন।
Asser: Nobody could ever count my love for you.
Int: Who could ever count my love for you ?
Asser: No one can do this.
Int: Who can do this ?

Rule 7: 
Introductory there যুক্ত assertive sentence কে Interrogative করার নিয়ম:
There is no+ এর পরিবর্তে what/who বসে+ বাক্যের বাকি অংশ+প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন।

Asser: There is no use of this law.
Int: What is the use of this law? or

Int: Is there any use of this law?
Asser: There is no man happier than Jamil.
Int: Who is happier than Jamil? or

Int: Is there any man happier than Jamil?

Exclamatory To Assertive

Rule 1: 
Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive Sentence করার নিয়ম:
Subject+verb+a/an+very/great+adjective+ বাকি অংশ।

Excl: What a fine bird it is!
Asser: It is a very fine bird.
Excl: What a fool he is!
Asser: He is a great fool.

Rule 2:  
(I) Hurrah যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive Sentence করতে হলে Hurrah এর পরিবর্তে It is a matter of joy that বসে+ বাকি অংশ বসে।
Alas যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive Sentence করতে হলে 

(II) Alas এর পরিবর্তে It is a matter of sorrow that বসে+ বাকি অংশ বসে।

Excl: Hurrah! We have won the game.
Asser: It is a matter of joy that we have won the game.
Excl: Alas! I am undone.

Asser: It is a matter of sorrow that I am undone.

Rule 3:  
(I) If যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive Sentence করতে হলে প্রথমে Subject+wish+if এর পরের অংশ বসে।
(II) Had যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive Sentence করতে হলে প্রথমে Subject+wish+পূনরায় Subject+had+বাকি অংশ বসে।

Excl: If I were a king!
Asser: I wish I were a king.
Excl: Had I the wings of a bird!
Asser: I wish I had the wings of a bird.

Rule 4:  
Would that যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive Sentence করতে হলে প্রথমে Subject+wish+would that এর পরের অংশ বসে।
Excl: Would that I could be a child again!
Asser: I wish I could be a child again.

Assertive To Exclamatory

Rule 1:  
Assertive Sentence কে Exclamatory করার নিয়ম:
প্রথমে What a/an অথবা How +adjective+subject+verb+বাকি অংশ + বিস্ময়কর চিহ্ন বসে।
Note: Adjective এর পূর্বে a/an থাকলে what a/an বসে এবং Adjective এর পূর্বে a/an না থাকলে how বসে।
Asser: It is a very beautiful garden.

Excl: What a beautiful garden it is!

Asser: The garden is very beautiful.

Excl: How beautiful the garden is!

Rule 2:  
Assertive Sentence এ wish থাকলে Exclamatory করার সময় Subject+wish এর পরিবর্তে If/Had বসে।
Asser: I wish I had the wings of a bird.

Excl: Had I the wings of a bird!

Asser: I wish I were a king.

Excl: If I were a king!

Assertive To Imperative

Rule 1:  
Assertive Sentence কে Imperative করার নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর মূল verb এর present form + মূল verb এর পরের অংশ। 
Asser: You should do the work.

Imp : Do the work.

Rule 2:  
Assertive Sentence টি না বোধক হলে Imperative করার নিয়ম:
Do not/Don't+প্রদত্ত Sentence এর মূল verb এর present form+মূল verb এর পরের অংশ। 
Asser: You should do the work.
Imp : Do not do the work. 

Rule 3:  
Never যুক্ত Assertive Sentence কে Imperative করার নিয়ম:
Never+প্রদত্ত Sentence এর মূল verb এর present form+মূল verb এর পরের অংশ। 
Asser: You should never tell a lie.
Imp : Never tell a lie.

Rule 4:  
Assertive Sentence এর Subject 1st/3rd Person হলে Imperative করার নিয়ম:
Let+প্রদত্ত Sentence টির Subject এর Objective form+মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত। 
Asser: He plays football.
Imp : Let him play football.

Rule 5:  
1st/3rd Person যুক্ত Assertive Sentence এ not থাকলে Imperative করার নিয়ম:
Let+প্রদত্ত Sentence টির Subject এর Objective form+not+মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত। 
Asser: We do not hate the poor.
Imp : Let us not hate the poor.

To Change into Positive Degree

Superlative to Positive 

Rule 1:  
No other+Superlative degree এর পরের অংশ+verb+so/as+ Superlative Degree এর Positive form+ as+ মূল Sentence এর Subject বসে।
Note: 
Note 1. No other, of any, any other এর পরে  Noun বা Pronoun এর Singular Form বসে।  
Note 2. All other, most other, many other, few other, very few, one of the এর পরে Noun বা Pronoun এর Plural Form বসে।  
Note 3. Superlative Degree এর পরে of all/of any থাকলে উঠে যায়। 
Super: He is the best boy in the class.
Positive : No other boy in the class is so small as he.
Super: It burns the prettiest of any wood.
Positive : No other wood burns so pretty as it.

Rule 2:  
One of the যুক্ত Superlative degree কে Positive Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
Very few+ Superlative Degree এর পরের অংশ+ verb এর Plural form+ so+ Superlative Degree এর Positive form+ as+ প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject বসে।
Super: He is one of the best boys in the class.
Positive : Very few boys in the class are so good as he.
Super: Iron is one of the most useful metals.
Positive : Very few metals are so useful as iron.

Comparative to Positive 

Rule 1:  
Than any other/all other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
No other+ any other/all other এর পরের অংশ+ verb+ so/as+ Comparative Degree এর Positive form+ as+ প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject বসে।

Comp: He is greater than any other boy in the class.
Positive : No other boy in the class is so great as he.
Comp: Dhaka is larger than all other cities in Bangladesh.
Positive : No other city in Bangladesh is as large as Dhaka.

Rule 2:  
Than যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
Than এর পরের অংশ+ verb+ Affirmative হলে not বসবে Negative হলে not উঠে যাবে+ so+ Comparative Degree এর Positive form+ as+ 
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject বসে।

Comp: Mohon is wiser than Hasan.
Positive : Hasan is not so wise as Mohon.
Comp: He is stronger than I.
Positive : I am not so strong as he.

Rule 3:  
Than most other/than few other যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
Most other/few other এর পরের অংশ+ verb এর Plural form+ so+ Comparative Degree এর Positive form+ as+ প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject বসে।

Comp: A K Fazlul Haque was greater than most other politicians in Bangladesh.
Positive : Very few politicians in Bangladesh were so great as A K Fazlul Haque.
Comp: The cow is more useful than most other animals.
Positive : Very few animals are so useful as the cow.

Rule 4:  
No less/Not less.......than যুক্ত Comparative degree কে Positive Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
No less/Not less এর পরিবর্তে উক্ত জায়গায় as বসে এবং 
than এর পরিবর্তে উক্ত জায়গায় as বসে প্রদত্ত Sentence এর বাকি সব ঠিক থাকবে।
Comp: He is no less strong than you.
Positive : He is as strong as you.
Comp: He was not less wise than you.
Positive : He was as wise as you .

To Change into Comparative Degree

Superlative to Comparative 

Rule 1:  
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject ও Verb+The উঠে যায়+Superlative Degree এর Comparative form+than any other+প্রদত্ত Sentence এর বাকি অংশ।
Note: of all থাকলে এর পরিবর্তে than all other এবং of any থাকলে than any other বসে।

Super: He is the tallest man in the village.
Comp: He is taller than any other man in the village.
Super: He is the noblest of all men.
Comp: He is nobler than all other men.

Rule 2:  
One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject ও Verb+one of the উঠে যায়+Superlative Degree এর Comparative form+than most other+প্রদত্ত Sentence এর বাকি অংশ।

Super: Hasan is one of the tallest boys in the class.
Comp: Hasan is taller than most other boys in the class.

Positive to Comparative 

Rule 1:  
No other যুক্ত Positive Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর শেষের Subject টি প্রথমে বসে+verb+Positive Degree এর Comparative form+than any other+No other এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

Positive: No other boy in the class is so good as he.
Comp: He is better than any other boy in the class.

Rule 2:  
Very few যুক্ত Positive Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর শেষের Subject টি প্রথমে বসে+verb+Positive Degree এর Comparative form+than most other+very few এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

Positive: Very few metals are as costly as gold.
Comp: Gold is costlier than most other metals.

Rule 3:  
As............as  যুক্ত Positive Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর শেষের Subject টি প্রথমে বসে+verb+প্রদত্ত Sentence টি affirmative হলে not বসে negative হলে not উঠে যায়+Positive Degree এর Comparative form+than+প্রদত্ত Sentence এর প্রথম Subject বসে।

Positive: He is as tall as his brother.
Comp: His brother is not taller than he.

To Change into Superlative Degree

Comparative to Superlative

Rule 1:  
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject ও Verb+the+Comparative Degree এর Superlative form+other এর পরের অংশ।

Comp: He is better than any other boy in the class.
Super: He is the best boy in the class.

Rule 2:  
Than most other/than few other যুক্ত Comparative Degree কে Superlative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর Subject ও Verb+one of the+Comparative Degree এর Superlative form+most other/few other এর পরের অংশ বসে।

Comp: Dhaka is bigger than most other cities in Bangladesh.
Super: Dhaka is one of the biggest cities in Bangladesh.

Positive to Superlative

Rule 1:  
No other যুক্ত Positive Degree কে Superlative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর শেষের Subject টি প্রথম বসে+ Verb+ the+ Positive Degree এর Superlative form+ no other এর পর থেকে verb এর পর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

Positive: No other boy in the class is as tall as Sabbir.
Super: Sabbir is the tallest boy in the class.

Rule 2:  
Very few যুক্ত Positive Degree কে Superlative Degree তে রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত Sentence এর শেষের Subject টি প্রথম বসে+ Verb+ one of the+ Positive Degree এর Superlative form+ very few এর পর থেকে verb এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।

Positive: Very few boys in the class are as tall as Sabbir.
Super: Sabbir is one of the tallest boy in the class.
